GBQ Type Lightweight Plate Feeder

GBQ Type Lightweight Plate Feeder

Category:Ore Supply Equipment

Product Introduction:The GBQ lightweight plate feeder, also called the scale plate feeder, is a pressurized continuous feeding device installed under silos. It's mostly used under raw ore silos to provide a steady feed to jaw crushers and is perfect for the coarse crushing section of a 200-ton gold mine flotation plant.
1. How It Works
Motor: The reducer turns the head sprocket, which drives two closed traction chains at low speed. Wear-resistant scale plates are attached to the chain, so the ore falls from the silo onto the plates, moves forward smoothly with the chain, and discharges at the head, ensuring a continuous, even flow of ore. The variable frequency motor lets you adjust the speed to control the feed volume.
2. Main Structure
It includes a frame, head drive (motor, reducer, active sprocket), tail tension assembly (screw tensioner), traction chain, lap-mounted scale plates (liner), support wheels, and guide chute. The scale plate and chain are the main components that wear out.
3. Materials It Can Handle (Important for Gold Mines)
Works well with gold-bearing quartz veins, blocky gold ores, and other blocky, moderately abrasive ores. Typical feed particle size should be ≤160mm, bulk density ≤1.5t/m³, and material temperature ≤350°C. It can handle ore dropping directly from the silo. It can be installed horizontally or slightly inclined upward, with a max tilt of ≤ 20°.
4. Product Highlights
Handles silo pressure and impact well; large ore pieces can be fed directly without easily damaging the equipment, making it better than vibrating feeders. Operates smoothly with uniform, continuous feeding, and variable frequency adjustment fits automated control. The sturdy design is suitable for tough mining conditions, and it rarely breaks down.
5. Where It Fits in Gold Mine Production (Compared to DK Disc Feeder)
- GBQ Lightweight Plate Feeder: Placed under the raw ore silo → feeds large raw ore blocks to the jaw crusher, with impact resistance as its key benefit.
- DK Disc Feeder: Placed at the ball mill front end → feeds small pieces and powder from the powder silo, perfect for stable, fine material feeding.
Standard flow: Raw ore silo → GBQ plate feeder → jaw crusher → belt conveyor → Hammer/PL vertical punch fine crusher → powder silo → DK disc feeder → ball mill.
6. Model Names
GBQ stands for G = feeding, B = plate type, Q = lightweight. Numbers after show chain plate width, like GBQ50 (500mm), GBQ65 (650mm), GBQ80 (800mm). Numbers at the end indicate front-to-rear wheel distance in meters, e.g., GBQ80-6 has an 800mm chain plate and a 6m center distance.
