Category:Ore Supply Equipment
Product Introduction:DK is an open-type crane disc feeder (D = hanging type, K = open), a continuous volumetric feeding device. It's widely used for uniform ore feeding under silos in concentrator plants and is suitable for 200-ton gold mine flotation plants. Usually, it's placed at the outlet of crushing or powder silos, feeding ore to belts or directly to ball mills. The DB series is a closed suspended type with better dust protection, while the DK is open for easy observation and adjustment.
1. Working Principle
The whole machine hangs under the warehouse, with ore falling from the sleeve below the silo onto the rotating disc, forming a stable layer. The worm gear reducer drives the disc to rotate slowly, and the adjustable scraper continuously scrapes ore to the discharge port. You can adjust the feed in two ways: (1) change the sleeve height to adjust the gap between the sleeve and the disc, or (2) adjust the angle and position of the scraper. A speed-regulating motor allows stepless adjustment.
2. Main Structure
Suspension bracket, feed sleeve (adjustable), rotating disc, wear-resistant liner, discharge scraper assembly, worm gear reducer, drive motor, discharge hopper. The liner can be made of high-manganese steel or wear-resistant steel to last longer.
3. Suitable Materials (Important for Gold Mines)
Works with dry, non-sticky granular or small-piece ore and coarse powder. The feed size is generally ≤50mm, making it ideal for crushed gold ore.
4. Product Features
- Suspended installation saves floor space, perfect for under silos, with strong pressure resistance.
- Continuous, stable feeding with easy volume adjustments. Open design allows easy inspection and scraper adjustment.
- Simple structure, smooth low-speed operation, low noise, minimal wear parts, and low maintenance.
- Can use variable frequency speed control and central control systems to adjust feed volume, stabilizing ball mill input.
5. Factory Selection Notes
Typical setup: Fine crushed powder silo → DK disc feeder → belt conveyor → ball mill. Compared to vibrating feeders: vibratory feeding suits the front of large crushing stages, but DK disc feeding is better for powder silos, offering uniform, stable ball mill feed with less fluctuation, which helps stabilize grinding and flotation performance.
6. Model Identification Examples
DK10: disk diameter 1000mm; DK13: 1300mm. The number shows the disk size in decimeters, chosen based on processing capacity.
