Product Introduction：The trough-type ore feeder is a base-plate reciprocating feeding device, mostly used under raw ore silos as a jaw-type coarse crusher. It's a classic piece of coarse feeding equipment in mines, perfect for feeding blocky gold ore.
1. How it works
the motor drives the reducer and eccentric crank mechanism, which moves the base plate inside the trough back and forth on rollers. When the base plate pushes forward, it moves the ore ahead; when it retracts, the ore is held in place by the material layer, then falls out from the front discharge port, allowing continuous feeding.
You can adjust the feed rate by changing the eccentric stroke (20~200mm), the gate opening, or using a variable frequency motor for stepless speed control. It usually operates at 20~60 strokes per minute.
2. Main parts
Trough frame, wear-resistant movable base plate (high-manganese steel liner), roller support assembly, eccentric wheel, connecting rod, reducer, drive motor, adjustable gate plate. It can sit on the ground or hang under a silo.
3. Suitable materials (important for gold mines)
Works well with gold-bearing quartz veins, blocky gold ores, and other lump or granular ores, with a max feed size of 350~500mm. It’s good for loose ores and ores with a bit of water. Typical capacity is 10~90t/h, with bigger models available.
4. Features
- Strong structure, can handle silo pressure and drops, more impact-resistant than GZG vibrating feeders.
- Relatively even feeding, stable operation, easy maintenance, low power use.
- Flexible installation, can be mounted on a stand or hoisted. Lower cost than plate feeders.
